Hang on a second while we grab that post for you.
Hey! I'm Alyssa Bermudez, a NYC based artist interested in learning, teaching, expanding, expressing, exploring, reading, and rereading.
I do illustrations, animations, some design work, crafts, and murals. I'm obsessed with dogs, turtles, and historical fiction. For me, inspiration is not only from masters like Toulouse Lautrec and Egon Shiele etc etc, but absolutely EVERYWHERE.
I grew up in New York City, studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and have an endless desire to visit new places.

I live to create.
About a month ago, I created a set of 15 travel themed stickers for the Aviary photo app. Check them out if you get a chance. Ill post them all a little later
Part of a semester long sketchbook process, where we are sticking to one united theme in the book. I recently started mine over to focus on the school I work in, TMLA. I’m using a brush pen and ink to complete it.

First illustration project in grad school. Well unofficially. We had “boot camp” this week just to get us movin. Classes start next week, and I’m looking forward to seeing my work progress and my classmate’s work as well. They are all incredible artists.
This digital piece is The Dreamland Follies at Governor’s Island.
This is a piece of the most recent mural I finished. It is one of 6 panels that continuously flow into each other to show this waterfall scene outside of 6 fake windows. Better photos of the ENTIRE piece to come soon. Much larger than the last!
Here are some slightly better pictures of the Little Mermaid mural I did last month. (Those aren’t teeny tiny doorways, I just cropped out the bottom part of the wall.) I just finished a more realistically rendered China falls scene on another even larger wall, so pictures of that will come soon too.
So I started painting on a larger scale this summer- MURALS. Here is one of my finished walls in the ocean themed room of a daycare in Queens. I’ll post close ups soon once I get in there with a decent camera.
I’ve been working on a mural for about a week now. In total it’s about 50 square feet in a daycare center. They have an ocean themed floor with murals ceiling to floor based on the Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo. These are a couple in progress pictures, I’ll post the final piece soon.
Little acryclic painting I did today available for prints on my society6 page. — http://society6.com/bermudezbahama/In-Another-Dimension-Painting_Print
